History

The Brand

It was 1950 when Pasquale Provenzale, founder of the eponymous company, left his father's workshop in Casalnuovo di Napoli and opened his own tailoring shop on the first floor of via Firenze, 21 in the heart of the Neapolitan city. Those were years of intense work but also of great recognition for his refined art, which soon led him to be the favorite tailor of the Neapolitan high society of the time.

Nobles, high-ranking entrepreneurs, and famous artists were his most loyal customers. His creations stood out for their refinement and elegance and for their characteristic artisanal imprint.

Pasquale Provenzale harbored a true vocation for shirts, which soon led him to open his first atelier in a street-level shop, still in Naples in via Firenze at number 82: it was an immediate enormous success.

Starting from the 90s, the new generations of the Provenzale family managed to bring the eponymous brand, from the heart of the city of Naples to the main Italian cities, creating a chain of stores with a unique and unmistakable style.

The Provenzale project has been revived with renewed enthusiasm under the guidance of Alessandra Bustelli who, in the tradition of artisanal craftsmanship, has traced the future of a new and original male elegance.

Our Brand
In 1950 Pasquale Provenzale, founder of the eponymous brand, left his father’s shop in Casalnuovo di Napoli and opened his first own atelier on the first floor of Via Firenze, 21 in the heart of beautiful Naples. The years that followed were hectic, but also brought gratifying accolades for his talent and repute: Pasquale quickly became Neapolitan high society’s favourite tailor. Aristocrats, refined entrepreneurs and artists became some of his most loyal customers. His creations shone thanks to the exquisite elegance of his craft.

Pasquale Provenzale felt he was destined to make superior shirts: at that realisation he opened a specialist atelier across the road in via Firenze 82 – and his first shirt atelier also proved to be a huge success.

From the 1990s onwards, later generations of the Provenzale family carried the torch of the prestigious brand, bringing Pasquale’s signature craft to other Italian cities beyond his homeland of Naples. The resulting store chain gained an all over cult reputation.

The Provenzale project continues to shine under the know how and expertise of Alessandra Bustelli, who has drawn inspiration from classic tailoring to craft a new and innovative menswear line.
